Terms of the extended manufacturer’s warranty (GARAN)
For products covered by the extended manufacturer’s warranty (GARAN), the length of the warranty period is stated for each individual product. The warranty period is calculated from the date of purchase shown on the invoice.
For certain products, the warranty requires the product to be registered within the specified deadline. Registration is free of charge, and the necessary personal data is used solely for the registration and administration of the warranty.

The coverage includes the entire product as well as materials and labour in the event of original defects in materials and workmanship that become apparent during the warranty period.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or the scheduled replacement of consumable parts as part of normal maintenance. For products with a battery, a gradual reduction in battery capacity resulting from age and normal use is considered normal wear and tear.
The warranty is subject to the following conditions:
- the product has been correctly installed and connected in accordance with the installation instructions
- the product has been used for normal private household purposes in accordance with the instructions supplied
- the defect is not caused by misuse, lack of maintenance, negligence or damage
- the defect is not caused by alterations or repairs carried out by persons who are not authorised by EICO
The extended manufacturer’s warranty does not limit the customer’s statutory rights.
